Jane M. Cardea holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and is presently an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Arizona. Her research interests include the chronically mentally ill, social networks, and families of oncology patients. Concetta M. Tynan is the Director of Health Services Handmaker Jewish Geriatric Center in Tucson, Arizona. She holds a masters degree in Nursing from Columbia University and is interested in health promotion among institutionalized and independent living elderly.
