Summary
γ 1a -Myeloma globulins are composed of several components of different molecular weight which appear as distinct fractions in starch gel electrophoresis. By application of cysteamine these higher molecular portions are dissociated, which results in a change of the components in starch gel electrophoresis. Comparisons with the ultracentrifugal diagram indicate a higher reactivity of the starch gel electrophoresis in proof of the (polymeric ?) heterogeneity of theγ 1a -myeloma globulin.γ ss-myeloma globulins are not dissociated by cysteamine under these conditions; their heterogeneity therefore is not dependent on components of a higher molecular weight. — 12 sera each of patients withγ 1A- andγ ss-myeloma have been investigated.
Die Untersuchungen wurden mit Unterstützung der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft, Bad Godesberg, durchgeführt.
