Erhöhung der Serotoninkonzentration im Blut bei Ausschluss eines Carcinoidsyndroms

Zusammenfassung

Bei einem Fall von Gallenblasencarcinom mit diffuser Karzinose war der Serotoningehalt des Blutes, wahrscheinlich infolge gestörten Abbaus, mit 1300 mµg/cm3 stark erhöht. In mehr als 550 Bestimmungen wurde der bis höchstens 500 mµg Serotonin je Kubikzentimeter Blut reichende Normalbereich nie überschritten. Der Mittelwert von 30 weiteren Patienten mit metastasierenden Tumoren war im Vergleich zur Norm herabgesetzt.
