Multiple glasstransitions in homopolymers caused by blocks of different stereotacticity I. Polystyrenes

Summary

Thermal diffusivity measurements are very well suited to detect blocks of stereospecific order in homopolymers. Their relative amount can approximately be determined. Blocks (iso- or syndiotactic) present in larger quantity determine the main glass transition found by volume measurements.

Zusammenfassung

Messungen der Temperaturleitfähigkeit eignen sich gut zum Aufsuchen von stereospezifischen Blöcken in Homopolymeren. Ihr relativer Anteil kann annähernd bestimmt werden. Blöcke (iso- oder syndiotaktisch), die anteilhaft stärker im Polymeren vertreten sind, bestimmen die Lage der Hauptglastemperatur, wie sie durch Volumenmessungen gefunden wird.
