Summary
Six healty male volunteers received 1.0 mg of β-methyl digoxin intravenously two times at a 21 day interval. In a randomized sequence they received orally 2 g t.i.d. of activated charcoal during one of the periods. Glycoside plasma levels were determined over a 48 hour period using a86Rb-erythrocyte-assay. During the period with charcoal, plasma levels were somewhat lower, the difference was statistically not significant. The clinical relevance of the observation remains uncertain.
Zusammenfassung
Sechs gesunde männliche Probanden erhielten in einem Abstand von je 21 Tagen 1,0 mg β-Methyl-digoxin intravenös injiziert. In randomisierter Reihenfolge erhielten sie während einer Periode 3mal 2 g Aktivkohle täglich oral verabreicht. Die Glykosidplasmaspiegel wurden mit einem86Rb- Erythrocyten-Assay über 48 Std verfolgt. Während der Periode mit Aktivkohle lagen die mittleren Plasmaspiegel gering niedriger, jedoch war der Einfluß statistisch nicht signifikant und seine klinische Bedeutung bleibt ungewiß.
