Considerazioni sull'azione dell'insulina sul metabolismo dei carboidrati nel fegato

Riassunto

Viene presentata una sintetica rassegna delle ricerche con le quali si è tentato di dimostrare un effetto diretto dell'insulina sul ricambio dei carboidrati nel fegato, nel senso di un'accelerazione della glicogenogenesi epatica, o di un blocco della glicogenolisi epatica, o di un'accelerazione della glicolisi epatica.

Si conclude che effetti insulinici diretti sul metabolismo epatico dei carboidrati, benchè verosimili, non possono considerarsi definitivamente dimostrati.

Si accenna anche al problema del meccanismo dell'eventuale azione insulinica sull'epatocita.

L'A. présente une révue sinthétique des recherches qui ont eu pour but de demonstrer un effect direct de l'insuline sur le métabolisme glycidique dans le foie, du point de vue d'une accélération de la glycogénogénèse hépatique, ou d'un blocage de la glycogénolyse hépatique, ou d'une accélération de la glycolyse hépatique.

L'A. arrive à la conclusion qu'on ne peut considérer demonstrée définitivement des effects insuliniques directs sur le métabolisme hépatique des carbohydrats.

On discute aussi sur le problème du méchanisme de l'action éventuelle insulinique sur l'hépatocyte.

Resumen

Es presentada una reseña sintáctica de la investigaciones con las cuales se ha intentado de demostrar un efecto directo de la insulina sobre el recambio de los carbohidratos en el hígado, en el sentido de una aceleración de la glicogenogenesis hepática, o de un bloque de la glicogenolisis hepática, o de una aceleración de la glicolisis hepática.

Se concluye que efectos insulínicos directos sobre el metabolismo hepático de los carbohidratos, si bien verosímiles, no pueden ser considerados definitivamente demostrados.

Se menciona también el problema del mecanismo de la eventual acción insulínica sobre la hepatocidad.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird eine synthetische Rundschau der Forschungen vorgestellt, mit welchen man versuchte, einen direkten Effekt des Insulins auf den Kohlehydratstoffwechsel in der Leber, im Sinne einer Beschleunigung der Leberglykogenese, einer Hemmung der Leberglykogenolyse oder einer Beschleunigung der Leberglykolyse nachzuweisen.

Es wird die Schlussfolgerung gezogen, dass direkte Insulineffekte auf den Leberstoffwechsel der Kohlehydrate nicht als endgueltig bewiesen betrachtet werden koennen, auch wenn sie wahrscheinlich sind.

Es wird auch das Problem des Mechanismus der eventuellen Insulinwirkung auf den Hepatozyten angeschnitten.

Summary

A synthetic review on the researches by means of which it has been attempted to show a direct action of insulin on the carbohydrate metabolism of the liver is presented: insulin could act quickening the hepatic glycogenogenesis, stopping the hepatic glycogenolysis or quickening the hepatic glycolysis.

The A. comes to the conclusion that insulin action on the carbohydrate metabolism of the liver cannot be considered definitely proved, though probable.

The question of the manner of the possible insulin action on liver cells is mentioned too.
