Abstract
The intensity, the position, and the half-width of the plasma resonance peak are measured in dependence on the angle of incidence, on the angle of observation, on the azimuthal angle, and on the foil thickness. Furthermore it is shown by electronmicroscopic means that the roughness of the surface is correlated with the intensity of the plasma resonance radiation. The measurements are compared with theory.
