A treatment of the non-local exchange potential in the classical theory of heavy ion reactions

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik A Atoms and Nuclei

Abstract

A method is presented how to incorporate the non-local exchange potential in the classical description of heavy-ion reactions. Along the line of the Ehrenfest theorem Hamilton's canonical equations are derived. A possible way of constructing the classical hamiltonian in terms of the matrix elements in the complex generator-coordinate method is proposed.
