The differential diagnosis of tumours of the cerebello-pontine angle

Zusammenfassung

Es werden die klinischen Charakteristika der häufigsten Brückenwinkeltumoren in Form der Geschlechtsdisposition, des typischen Erstsymptoms, des Liquorbefundes, des Verteilungsmusters der Hirnnervenausfälle, der röntgenologischen und szintigraphischen Befunde dargestellt. Es ergeben sich dabei aus der Kombination der häufigsten Symptome Signifikanzen, die eine artdiagnostische Voraussage ermöglichen.

Summary

The clinical characteristics of the commonest pontine angle tumours are set out. The features studied include sex distribution, typical first symptoms, c.s.f. analysis, the distribution pattern of the cranial nerve involvement, also the radiographic and the scintigraphic findings. From this analysis it appears that from the combination of the commonest symptoms it is possible to predict the tumour type.
