Reevaluation of the conversion coefficient of the 14.4 keV transition in57Fe

Abstract

Existing values of the conversion coefficient of the 14.4 keV transition in57Fe have been reevaluated using newK-shell fluorescence yields and recent decay scheme information. Previous disagreements are removed and the mean values found are α T =8.26±0.19, α K =7.37±0.17.
