Abstract
The hyperfinestructure of the Hg II-line λ 2815 Å\((5d^{10} 6s{}^2S_{\tfrac{1}{2}} - 5d^9 6s^2 {}^2D_{\tfrac{5}{2}} )\), forbidden for electric dipole radiation, has been investigated using a Fabry-Perot-interferometer coated with dielectric λ/4-layers (PbF2 and cryolithe). From the measured isotope shift in this line and from recent isotope shift measurements in other Hg II-lines the experimental isotope shift constantsβC exp for the different isotope pairs were determined to be:\(\begin{gathered} (196 - 198):174 \pm 40; (198 - 200):212 \pm 30; \hfill \\ (199 - 201):254 \pm 42; (200 - 202):235 \pm 30; \hfill \\ (202 - 204):235 \pm 37 [ \cdot 10^{ - 3} cm^{ - 1} ]. \hfill \\ \end{gathered} \)
