Abstract
The intensities of spectral lines of Calcium were measured in an axialsymmetric electric arc in an atmosphere of nitrogen and transformed in the function of the distance from the axis. The slope of temperature over the cross section of the arc was derived by the relative intensities of spectral lines of known excitation potential. The emission was reduced to the radiation of the black body and the concentration of Calcium controled by the conductivity of the discharge. The transition probabilities of 19 lines of Calcium were derived by the local emission and compared with earlier measurements in the spectrum of Strontium and Barium.
