Depolarisation der β-Teilchen durch Streuung im radioaktiven Präparat

Abstract

The depolarization ofΒ-electrons caused by scattering inside of radioactive sources is estimated, taking into account multiple scattering and, (with some approximations), single scattering for larger angles. It is found, that the depolarization amounts to a few percent for usual sources.
