7. Retroperitoneale Tumoren -Pathologisch-anatomische Gesichtspunkte

Summary

Retroperitoneal “masses” can be caused by pseudotumors, metastases, tumors of the retroperitoneal organs including lymph nodes, organ tumors or metastases spreading into the retroperitoneal space, and by primary retroperitoneal tumors: mesenchymal (49%) or neurogenic (19%) epithelial tumors of the urogenital blastema (11.5%) and teratoid tumors (9%). In 11.5% of cases the tumors cannot be classified histologically; these tumors are malignant. The rate of malignancy of all primary retroperitoneal tumors is about 70%, and that of mesenchymal tumors about 90%. The rate of malignancy of the neurogenic tumors falls with the beginning of the second decade of life, when that of teratoid tumors rises. Epithelial tumors are usually benign cysts.

Retroperitoneale „Massen” können bedingt sein durch Pseudotumoren, Tumormetastasen, Tumoren der retroperitonealen Organe incl. Lymphknoten, durch Übergreifen von Organtumoren und Metastasen auf den Retroperitonealraum sowie durch die primären Retroperitoneal-Tumoren: mesenchymale (49%), neurogene (19%), epitheliale Tumoren der Urogenitalblasteme (11,5%) und teratoide Tumoren (9%). In 11,5% der Fälle lassen sich die Tumoren histologisch nicht klassifizieren; sie sind maligne. Insgesamt beträgt die Malignität der primären Retroperitoneal-Tumoren ca. 70%, bei den mesenchymalen Typen bis zu 90%. Nach Beginn der Pubertät nimmt die Malignität neurogener Tumoren stark ab, steigt bei den teratoiden Tumoren aber stark an. Bei den epithelialen Relikttumoren überwiegen gutartige Cysten.
