Summary
We applied the TNM classification system and the procedure described by Schinz for the graduation of stages. The Schinz procedure is based on surgical and particularly on histological observations to 385 patients with neoplasm of the colon who where subjected to operation between 1962 and 1970. Our results lead us to recommend that the surgical observations in intestinal carcinoma be used for the attainment of comparable success rates.
Zusammenfassung
Bei 385 operierten Colonneoplasmapatienten, die in den Jahren 1962 bis 1970 an der Chirurgischen Klinik der Freien Universität operiert wurden, benutzten wir das TNM-System und die Stadieneinteilung nach Schinz unter Hinzunahme operativer und vor allem histologischer Befunde. Die Aussagekraft unserer Auswertungen veranlaßt uns, bei Coloncareinomen die Verwendung des operativen Befundes zu empfehlen, um zu vergleichbaren Leistungsquoten zu gelangen.
