Summary
The semi-infinite plane with the simple support on a part of the boundary is analyzed. The simple support is subjected to rotation and a crack initiates at its end. A rational mapping function and the complex stress function are used for the second mixed boundary value problem. The stress distribution, the stress intensity factor and the resultant moment on the simple support are obtained. When the simple support is subjected to the rotation and the normal force, two types of fracture phenomena are investigated; one is a crack initiation at an end of the simple support; another is the debonding between the simple support and the matrix.
