On the two dimensional problem of a cylindrical stamp pressed into a thin elastic layer

An asymptotic solution is found for the contact problem of a rigid cylindrical stamp and a very thin elastic layer. In the solution terms of exponential decrease are neglected consistently. Two cases are considered: a layer which is fixed to a rigid base and a layer which can slide without friction along the base. Compressible and incompressible materials are treated.

Eine asymptotische Lösung wird für das Berührungsproblem eines starren kreiszylindrischen Stempels und einer sehr dünnen elastischen Schicht gefunden. In der Lösung werden exponentiell abklingende Ausdrücke in konsistenter Weise vernachlässigt. Zwei Fälle werden betrachtet: erstens eine Schicht, deren Unterseite auf einer starren Unterlage befestigt ist, und zweitens eine Schicht, die ohne Reibung über die Unterlage gleiten kann. Kompressible und inkompressible Stoffe werden betrachtet.
