Abstract
The reaction of triphenylsufonium trifluoromethanesulfonate with various nucleophilic, organolithium reagents gave ligand coupling products and the corresponding diaryl or di-heteroaryl sulfides. Moreover, ligand exchange reaction did not give any noticeable product in each reaction. Therefore, it was found that only the ligand coupling reaction proceeds in this reaction system.
