Abstract
The effect of temperature and strain rate on the transition between grain-boundary sliding and slip-controlled deformation in Ti-6AI-4V at elevated temperatures has been determined by measuring the strain anisotropy. The anisotropy below the transition was dependent on texture, but above the transition was dependent on contiguousα-phase.
