Conclusions
-
1.
The IR absorption spectra of hexafluorozirconates and hexafluorohafnates of univalent and certain divalent transition metals were measured and described.

2.
From an analysis of the IR spectra it was concluded that [ZrF6]2− and [HfF6]2− groups exist in all the compounds studied. The frequencies of the asymmetrical valence vibrations of these groups were determined.

3.
The question of the absorption of the coordination-bound water in hexafluoride complexes of zirconium and hafnium, as well as the question of the formation of hydrogen bonds in the structures of these compounds, was considered.
