Abstract
A high-Q quasi-optical cavity consisting of wealky irregular axisymmetric waveguides is proposed for generation of high-power radiation in a ubitron with a high-current electron beam. The propagation of natural symmetric magnetic waves in an equivalent transmission line is studied for selection of the cavity geometry. The experimental data on electrodynamic mode selection agree with theory.
