Abstract
We present results of an experimental study of the effect of flow pulsations on turbulent heat transfer in the transverse direction in propagation of sound waves. A significant increase in heat-transfer intensity was recorded at mean-square pressure pulsation amplitude p=168–180 dB at frequency f=100–150 Hz. The dependence of heat-transfer intensity on acoustic field characteristics is obtained.
