Summary
After oral administration of3H-digoxin,3H-β(= 16′)-acetyldigoxin,3H-α(=15′)-acetyldigoxin and3H-(15′,16′)-diacetyldigoxin water-soluble metabolites have been found in the urine of three persons. A maximum is reached after 4–5 h. These metabolites are very polar and are not identical with neither digoxigenin nor with its mono- and bis-digitoxosides.
