Zeolites as catalysts for the condensation of acetals with vinyl ethers

Abstract

Synthetic zeolites may be used as catalysts for the condensation of acetals and ketals with vinyl ethers, leading to 1,1,3-trialkoxyalkanes. The Nd forms of dealuminized Y zeolites were found to be most efficient in this reaction.
