Abstract
The separation and identification of isomers in mixtures of them is a complex problem because of the similarity of their physicochemical properties. It has been shown in the present study that the combined application of chromato-mass spectroscopy and molecular statistical calculations makes it possible to obtain a complete identification of the components in a mixture of isomers. The advantages of a simultaneous application of the two methods are illustrated for mixtures of chlorophenylcyclopropanes and of chlorodiphenyls.
