Trematodes of birds from Northern Columbia

Summary

Fourteen digenean trematode species, including two new species, are described from marsh and shore birds from North Columbia. Described as new areDrepanocephalus parvicephalus n.sp. (Echinostomatidae) andApharyngostrigea squamatoconus n.sp. (Strigeidae). Also reported areTanaisia valida (Eucotylidae),Drepanocephalus spathans, Beaverostomum brachyrhynchos, andPelmatostomum mesembrinum (Echinostomatidae),Ribeiroia ondatrae (Cathaemasiidae),Renicola cf.cruzi (Renicolidae),Galactosomum puffini, Phagicola longa, andCaiguiria anterouteria (Heterophyidae),Clinostomum complanatum (Clinostomatidae),Diplostomum compactum (Diplostomatidae), andCardiocephaloides brandesii (Strigeidae).
