Abstract
Two types of frontal glands, cortical and medullary, have been observed in the scolex parenchyma ofTentacularia coryphaenae Bosc 1802. Their structure, position, mode of secretion and possible functions have been elucidated through standard histochemical techniques. An overview of the structure and function of similar glands in other cestodes is also presented.
