Genetical effects of caffeine in mice

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Vererbungslehre Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Caffeine administered orally in the drinking water as a 0.3% solution is not a very effective mutagen in the mouse. It may be mutagenic in its effects on male fertility, but it is ineffective in producing translocations that cause semisterility.
