Conclusions

The formation of substituted indoles when N-arenesulfonylbenzoquinone imines are reacted with N-arylaminocrotonates is accompanied by chemiluminescence. Chemiluminescence was not observed during the nucleophilic addition of N-alkylaminocrotonates to N-arenesulfonylbenzoquinone imines.

The kinetic characteristics of the process studied were determined.
