Abstract

In a multiple-baseline across-subjects design the effectiveness of training parents of physically handicapped children to perform physical therapy treatments at home was assessed. Measures of target joint movement were made using goniometry and subjective ratings. The procedures resulted in large improvements in the youngsters' ability to use their target limb. The benefits of the procedures are discussed.
