Abstract
Reaction of hydrogen with CCl2F2 has been studied on a γ-Al2O3 catalyst at 300°C. Pure γ-Al2O3 appears to be unselective in the catalytic conversion of CCl2F2, however, halogenated alumina showed high activity in a reaction leading to the formation of disproportionation products.
