Conclusions

  1. 1.

Using the techniques of metallography, x-ray diffraction, and microhardness measurement, determinations were made of T ir , of sintered composites consisting of silver with Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni additions.

  2. 2.

Composites containing Ti, V, Mn, Fe, and Co begin to recrystallize at temperatures below the initial recrystallization temperature of pure silver; T ir of an Ag-Cr composite is some 20°C higher than that of pure silver.

  3. 3.

In specimens of composites deformed at−196°C, recrystallized grains are already observed at room temperature.
