Conclusions
-
1.
Adequate models for calculation of the kinetics of growth of the diffusion layers in carburizing of steels containing molybdenum and titanium are proposed. A possible mechanism of formation of these layers is proposed.
-
2.
The character of change in the phase composition of the carburized cases after hardening and tempering is complex.
-
3.
In the steels with molybdenum the heat resistance is preserved up to 600°C and with titanium up to 500°C. The wear resistance in steels with titanium increases by 1.2 times, which provides a basis for replacement of high-alloy steels by economically alloyed steels containing titanium.
