Abstract

The author evaluated the socio-therapeutic environment of a child and adolescent psychosomatic inpatient unit by means of the Ward Atmosphere Scale. The results support the notion that conjoint, intensive psychiatric and pediatric treatment of psychosomatic patients does not impede the formation of a very active psychiatric treatment milieu.
