Abstract

Two solutionsT andT′ of the braid equation acting onA ⊗A (whereA is a Hopf algebra) are described. IfA is a cocommutative, thenT=σ. IfA is commutative, thenT′=σ (σ denotes the flip: σ(a ⊗b) =b ⊗a for anya,b ∈A).
