Preparation of calcium cyclopentadienyl complexes using calcium borohydride

Abstract

Calcium borohydride reacts with sodium cyclopentadienyl compounds in tetrahydrofuran solution to give the corresponding calcium cyclopentadienyl complexes. The reaction proceeds easily and gives high yields.
