Zusammenfassung
Anhand eines diffus wachsenden, capillären, teilweise spongiösen Chorangioms der Placenta wird die Frage der placentaren Insuffizienz diskutiert. Mit einem funktionstüchtigen Placentarrest von nur 40 g und einem Geburtsgewicht der Frucht von 2200 g dürfte unserer Beobachtung der bisher niedrigste Placentarquotient zugrunde liegen. Daraus resultiert, daß Größe und Gewicht erhaltener Placentarstrukturen keinen Maßstab für die Annahme einer placentaren Insuffizienz darstellen können.
Weitere Überlegungen galten der Frage der hypoxisch bedingten Kreislaufstörungen am neonatalen Gehirn, da im vorliegenden Fall auf Grund des Alters der Veränderungen geburtstraumatische Schäden auszuschließen sind.
