Zusammenfassung
Sechs Patientinnen mit hypotoner Wehenschwäche erhielten zu Anfang der Eröffnungsperiode je 0,1 mg Méthergin (Ergometrin) intravenös.
Das Méthergin ergab bei normalem Amniondruck und bei normaler Uterusaktivität unregelmäßige Kontraktionen, jedoch eine Steigerung der Kontraktionsfrequenz. Die Cervixeröffnung geschah ungefähr dreimal so schnell als bei einer normalen Geburt. Daraus resultiert also, daß es die Stärke der Wehen und nicht die Uterusmotilität selbst ist, die bei der Cervixerweiterung die größte Rolle spielt, und daß außerdem nach der Méthergininjektion die Steigerung der Wehenfrequenz für die schnellere Erweiterung der Cervix verantwortlich ist. Jedoch dürfte Méthergin als Wehenverstärkungsmittel während der Geburt durch die Steigerung des Amniontonus mit Risiko für Asphyxie des Kindes einerseits und die Tonussteigerung in Höhe des größten Umfanges des Kindeskopfes mit Risiko für eventuelle Tentoriumrisse andererseits kontraindiziert sein.
