Abstract
Chromaluminide diffusion coatings on nickel and nickel-base superalloys, EI 867 and IN 100, have been formed by a two-step pack cementation technique. The effect of pack composition on coating formation and structure has been discussed. It has been stated that the appropriate choice of coating parameters enables the enrichment of aluminide coating in chromium either near its surface or near the coating/substrate interface.
