Abstract
The propagation of zero sound in the superfluid state of the type suggested by Balian and Werthamer is studied theoretically. In the collisionless limit the attenuation of zero sound takes place only for ω≥2Δ(T) and at ω=2(3/5)1/2Δ(T), where ω is the frequency of the sound wave and Δ(T) is the temperature-dependent order parameter.
