Local structure and thermodynamic behavior of dirty superconductors in the mixed state at arbitrary temperature

Abstract

A recent dirty-limit version of the Gor'kov theory is used to calculate numerically the self-consistent structure and free energy of isolated vortices and of the vortex lattice in the circular cell approximation at arbitrary temperature and Ginzburg-Landau parameter κ. This yields the lower critical fieldH c1, the magnetization curve, the electronic specific heat, and the density of states at the Fermi surface. The results are discussed and compared with experiments.
