Some promising compounds for adiabatic demagnetization

Abstract

Measurements of the magnetic specific heat of a complex of cerium (III) iodide and antipyrine and of a complex of cerium (III) thiocyanate and triphenyl phosphine oxide indicate that both materials should produce lower limiting temperatures than cerium magnesium nitrate.
