Abstract
Two lignans have been isolated from the bark ofSyringa vulgaris and identified: (+)-lariciresinol 4-β-D-glucopyranoside (I) and -olivil 4-β-D-glucopyranoside (II). This is the first time that glycoside (9) has been described.
