Abstract

A glycoside isolated from the epigeal part ofThalictrum foetidum (Ranunculaceae) has yielded a new genin — cyclofoetigenin B — the structure of which has been established on the basis of chemical transformations and spectral characteristics as 24S-cycloartane-3β,16β,24,25,30-pentaol.
