Certification of the contents of cadmium, copper, manganese, mercury, lead and zinc in two plant materials of aquatic origin and in olive leaves

Zusammenfassung

Für die Bestimmung von Spurenelementen in pflanzlichem Material werden mehrere Typen von Referenzmaterialien benötigt. Neben Materialien mit Gehalten in üblicher Höhe werden auch solche gebraucht, die natürliche höhere Schwermetallgehalte aufweisen, sowie solche, die mit schwieriger Probenaufbereitung verbunden sind. Die Herstellung von drei verschiedenen Pflanzenmaterialien und die Zertifizierung der Gehalte an Cd, Cu, Mn, Hg, Pb und Zn wird beschrieben. Werte für andere Bestandteile werden ebenfalls mitgeteilt.

Summary

In plant analysis several types of materials are needed as reference material for the determination of trace elements. Useful types are, besides materials containing natural levels, materials with an inborn high content of heavy metals and materials posing analytical difficulties in the sample treatment. The preparation of three different plant materials and the certification of the contents of cadmium, copper, manganese, mercury, lead and zinc is described. Indicative values for other components were obtained as well.
