Summary
-
1.
The magnitude of the optokinetic nystagmus is used as a measure of the effect of changing the luminance. All other parameters of the pattern were kept constant.
-
2.
The optokinetic stimulation proved to be most efficient within the range of scotopic luminances (Fig.4).
-
3.
It is suggested that scotopic stimulus intensities should be used in the investigation of the functional organization of the rabbit's retina.
