Abstract
Conversions of an epoxy-containing system, photoinduced by means of a charge transfer complex of maleic anhydride with tetrahydrofuran, have been studied spectrophotometrically. Opening of the epoxy and anhydride rings is accompanied by incorporation of the fragments into the polymer chain in the form of ester groupings. Specific features of these transformations are dependent on the nature of the rings, the content of donor-acceptor complex in the system, and the addition of polyols.
