Summary
This paper deals with the bending of a plate-strip of incompressible material with finite strains. The plate-strip first reaches the elastic and then the elasto-plastic state as the angle of bending increases. Stresses and deformations in azimuthal and radial direction of the plate-strip are determined for different states of deformation. Among other findings the result is that the bending moment, after reaching a maximum, and the thickness of the plate strip dimmish with increasing angle of bending.
