Summary
An aqueous solution of PNU at pH 7.4 was highly unstable and within 5 min at room temperature decomposed to the phenyldiazonium ion. A single subcutaneous injection of 150 mg PNU per kg b.w., dissolved in pure DMSO, produced local sarcomas in 4 out of 6 surviving rats.
