Leber- und Blasen-Carcinome beim Meerschweinchen nach Di-n-butylnitrosamin

Carcinomas of the liver and urinary bladder in guinea pigs induced by dibutylnitrosamine

Summary

Dibutylnitrosamine was given to 19 guinea pigs (40 mg per kg body weight) in the drinking water 5 days a week. Fifteen animals survived for more than 550 days. They died later with carcinomas of the liver. At autopsy 3 had multiple metastases in the spleen and 1 in the lungs. In addition, we found 3 with papillomas and 4 with carcinomas of the urinary bladder. The medium induction time was 840±180 days.

Zusammenfassung

19 Meerschweinchen erhielten an 5 Tagen der Woche 40 mg Dibutylnitrosamin pro kg Körpergewicht im Trinkwasser. 15 Tiere lebten länger als 550 Tage. Sie alle starben später mit Carcinomen der Leber. Bei der Sektion fanden sich multiple Metastasen in 3 Fällen in der Milz und einmal in den Lungen. Ferner wurden 3 Fälle von Papillomen und 4 von Carcinomen in der Harnblase beobachtet. Die mittlere Induktionszeit betrug 840±180 Tage.
